Casual Exam Invigilator

Grade 3, Level 1, currently £12.00 per hour.  Casual Contract, as and when required

*N.B. these figures do not include the Local Government pay offer, from 1 April 2024, that is currently under negotiation

The Joseph Rowntree School is seeking to appoint to our pool of Casual Exam Invigilators.

Opportunities to invigilate occur throughout the academic year with the main examination period occurring through a 6 week block of time from May to June each year.

Exam Invigilators need to be team players, reliable and punctual and be able to relate to our students.  Work is on an “as required” basis and hours will vary so the ability to be flexible is required.

Main purpose of the job:

• To work under the direction of the Examinations Officer to ensure the smooth running of the examination environment, including an appropriate working atmosphere for the candidates.
• Ensure that all externally set examination regulations are fulfilled and examinations are conducted in line with the school’s Examination Policy.
