To create media literate students who can confidently critically analyse a variety of texts. We aim for students to develop a keen ability in analysing how media products can often reflect, or comment on, key social and cultural contexts. Students will engage in contemporary debates such as the effects media products can have on consumers, with a focus on how media can construct versions of reality. Students are to develop industry skills by creating a media product of their own, which embodies knowledge learned from their theoretical classwork.
