Economics and Business Studies Department Staff

Mr. P. Armstrong (Head of Department)

Mr. Armstrong began teaching at The Joseph Rowntree School in January, 1986. He spent a year as a Fulbright exchange teacher to the USA in 1993/94.

Mr. Armstrong is particularly interested in macroeconomic theory and policy and the history of economic thought.

Mr R. T. Ayres (Head of Enterprise Education and Work Experience Coordinator)

Mr. Ayres began teaching at The Joseph Rowntree School in September 2001.

Mr. Ayres is interested in the entrepreneurial side of business and the different aspects of the management of people.

Mrs B. Naik (Departmental Gifted and Talented Coordinator)

Mrs. Naik began teaching at The Joseph Rowntree School in September 2001.

Mrs. Naik is interested in the financial and marketing aspects of business.
