Welcome To The Mathematics Department

Joseph Rowntree Maths Department
Proficiency in maths is one of the most useful skills to have when entering the job market. Here at Joseph Rowntree maths department we aim to provide a supportive environment for each student to maximise their potential.
We follow the AQA GCSE syllabus with early entry opportunities for the most able students. This allows those pupils who are likely to pursue maths at A-level the chance to complete the OCR Free Standing Maths Qualification in year 11.
We offer Mathematics at A-level and in addition are one of the few schools in York to offer Further Mathematics. The course followed is the MEI course which is highly regarded by Universities.
